Have you ever heard the words “Belgian Block” or “Articulation Track”? – Terex
“Coarse gravel track,” “articulation track,” and “corduroy road” – the names of the test tracks at the German armed forces’ proving grounds on the Grüneberg hill, close to Trier, make it all but obvious: No one should expect a quiet little stroll there.
In fact, quite the opposite: That’s where the German armed forces test their tanks and all-terrain military vehicles before sending them off to missions in bone-rattling terrains. Which, of course, made it the best possible place for a testing team from the Zweibrücken location to put a Demag AC 250-5 crane through a grueling course and test its mettle.
