Red, White and Blue: ATS Cranes Marks 25 Years with a Liebherr LTM 1230-5.1 in Luxembourg’s National Colours
Luxembourg crane company ATS Cranes S.A. has replaced its ten-year-old LTM 1200-5.1 with a new Liebherr LTM 1230-5.1 — and gave the 230-tonner a striking anniversary livery in the national colours.
The logical next step
ATS compared several manufacturers before once again choosing Liebherr on the overall package of quality, price and service, says managing director Frédéric Kleinhans. The new 5-axle crane offers a 75-metre telescopic boom — one of the longest in its class — and Liebherr’s VarioBase support system, which unlocks high capacities on confined sites and extra reserves in the rear working area.

Flexibility pays the bills
The combination of the long boom and a double-folding jib lets the crane cover everything from construction sites and industrial projects to assembly work. The LTM 1230-5.1 slots into a fleet of 14 machines — predominantly Liebherr — run by 25 employees around the clock. Active since 2002, ATS sees the investment as preparation for the next 25 years.
