Stravers Torenkranen places its largest single order: 10 Terex CTT flat tops, five of them CTT 152-6
Netherlands tower crane specialist Stravers Torenkranen has ordered 10 Terex CTT flat top cranes, its biggest single purchase to date, and will be the first operator in the country to run the new CTT 152-6.
Ten cranes for a 130-machine fleet
Stravers Torenkranen, generally known as STK, has placed an order for 10 CTT flat top tower cranes from Terex. Announced on 26 March 2024, it is the largest single order the company has made. Five of the 10 are CTT 152-6 units, the model Terex launched only six weeks earlier, and they will be the first examples delivered to the Netherlands.
STK started in 1987 as a maintenance company for construction equipment and has since become an all-round crane specialist working in construction, industrial and petrochemical markets. Its fleet stands at around 130 cranes.
Why the CTT 152-6
The CTT 152-6 is a 150 mt class flat top with a maximum capacity of 6 tonnes and a tip load of 1.7 t, rising to 1.91 t with Terex Power Plus engaged. Two hoist options are offered, at 18 kW and 22 kW, with line speeds up to 104 m/min. T-Torque slewing technology gives adjustable, inverter-controlled slewing, while Terex Power Match trims electrical consumption — a live issue on Dutch sites where grid connections are frequently the limiting factor.

De Sevaux also singled out the T-Link telematics platform, which allows the crane to be monitored remotely and the operator supported from the office, and the S-Pace cab.
Distribution as part of the argument
STK made a point of linking its purchase decision to the strength of the Terex distribution network, arguing that local service and support feed directly into the residual value of the cranes when they come to be sold on — a calculation that matters as much as load charts for a rental fleet of this size.
