France’s S.V.M.M. adds a 79-metre-boom AC 5.250L-2 and sends it out without a running-in period
French lifting contractor S.V.M.M. has taken delivery of a Tadano AC 5.250L-2 all terrain crane and put it to work immediately across construction, industrial and infrastructure jobs in the Hauts-de-France region.
A five-axle crane bought for reach
S.V.M.M., run by brothers Arnaud and Michel Brouillard, works a mixed book of construction, industrial and infrastructure contracts in northern France — the kind of workload that rewards a crane with a long boom and a road-friendly transport weight. The AC 5.250L-2 carries a 79-metre main boom and self-rigging extensions of up to 30 metres, which keeps set-up time down when the crane has to change configuration between jobs. Transport efficiency was part of the calculation too: for a contractor moving between sites regularly, the number of loads needed to put a crane on the road is a running cost in its own right.

Control and vision systems
The machine runs Tadano’s IC-1 Plus crane control, which calculates capacity for the actual outrigger position rather than the worst case, and the Surround View camera system for positioning on constricted standing areas. Eco mode and a start-stop function handle the fuel side.
