Hoeflon adds a Swiss dealer: Bischag AG takes on sales and service from Laufen
Hoeflon has appointed Bischag AG of Laufen, in the canton of Basel-Landschaft, as its official dealer and service partner for Switzerland, giving Swiss customers a local point of contact for the full compact crane range.
A lifting specialist takes on the range
Bischag AG has more than 50 years behind it in lifting technology, transport and technical services. Under the new arrangement it will offer the complete Hoeflon product line — the C-series compact cranes together with the carriers and attachments — and will also handle after-sales support for machines already working in the country.
Service is the point
For an owner running one or two compact cranes, the practical value of a dealer appointment is not the sales counter but the workshop behind it. Bischag will cover maintenance and repairs as well as sales, which means Swiss operators no longer have to route service work back through a neighbouring market.
Switzerland is a natural market for this class of machine. A high proportion of the work is renovation and installation in dense towns and on constrained alpine sites, where access rather than capacity sets the limit on what plant can be used, and where electric machines are increasingly specified for indoor and noise-sensitive jobs.
Filling in the European map
The appointment continues a steady build-out of Hoeflon’s European dealer network. The manufacturer has been adding partners market by market rather than through a single distributor, on the argument that compact crane users buy locally and expect the technical support to be local as well.
