Potain signs PT Potaindo Machinery as Indonesian dealer

Manitowoc has appointed PT Potaindo Machinery as the official Potain tower crane dealer for Indonesia, covering sales, service and parts across the country and adding rental with operators to the offer.

Nationwide sales, service and parts

Jakarta-based PT Potaindo Machinery is no newcomer to the brand: the company has worked with Potain tower cranes for years and runs an established team of sales, technical and service staff supporting construction projects across the country. Under the new agreement it becomes Potain’s official dealer for Indonesia, handling sales, service and parts support nationwide.

For crane owners, the practical gain is local back-up through the whole life of the machine. The dealer keeps a comprehensive stock of genuine Potain spare parts in-country and also offers crane rental with experienced operators, so contractors can choose between buying and hiring from the same supplier. Potaindo sums up its approach in three words — safety, service and satisfaction.

“PT Potaindo Machinery brings strong technical expertise and a deep understanding of the local market, enabling us to deliver the reliable service our customers expect. This partnership ensures customers across Indonesia have access to responsive service, parts availability, and experienced teams.”

MCT 325 L16 tipped as the key model

The dealer expects the topless MCT 325 L16 to be the model to watch in the Indonesian market. The crane, one of the newer additions to Potain’s MCT range, takes jib configurations from 40 m up to 75 m in 5 m steps and still lifts 2.3 t at the 75 m jib end, with a 16 t maximum capacity. Easy transport and erection make it a straightforward fit for the high-rise and infrastructure work that dominates tower crane demand in the region.

“Our team has extensive experience with Potain cranes, and we are committed to delivering dependable service to keep customer operations running efficiently. We know the cranes well, and expect models such as the Potain MCT 325 L16, which offers an impressive 75 m jib, to be a key focus for Indonesia. We look forward to working closely with customers to meet their lifting requirements.”

— Greg Sunardi Rifay, director, PT Potaindo Machinery

Growing Southeast Asian footprint

The appointment extends Potain’s dealer coverage in Southeast Asia at a time when Indonesia’s construction sector continues to generate steady tower crane demand. With a dealer on the ground, Manitowoc says customers get access to local expertise and on-site assistance throughout the lifecycle of their cranes rather than relying on regional support from abroad.
