Alsace Levage and Cochez Groupe take first Spierings SK597-AT4 eLifts

Alsace Levage Manutention, a lifting and handling specialist working across the Alsace region, has replaced an existing mobile tower crane with its first Spierings. The company cited the SK597-AT4 eLift’s 48-metre jib, ease of operation and straightforward maintenance as decisive factors, along with serviceability that keeps the crane available across a varied project portfolio.

eLift decisive for Cochez Groupe

Cochez Groupe, part of the Ponticelli Group, provides heavy lifting, industrial handling and installation services from multiple locations across France. Its first Spierings purchase followed what the manufacturer describes as a thorough evaluation, with the eLift system ultimately tipping the balance: the crane lifts fully electrically whenever a grid connection of 16 A or more is available, meeting customers’ growing demand for zero-emission lifting without giving up capacity or productivity.

One man, one job

The four-axle SK597-AT4 folds out on site under Spierings’ One Man, One Job principle, whereby a single operator drives, erects and operates the crane without support crew — a set-up the Dutch manufacturer says simplifies site logistics and shortens the time between arrival and the first lift.

With the two handovers, the Spierings population in France continues to grow. Earlier this year the manufacturer delivered what it called France’s first fully electric mobile tower crane, and it sees the latest orders as further evidence of rising French demand for mobile tower cranes in general and grid-powered electric lifting in particular.
