Zoomlion’s 900-tonne ZCC13000-1E5 becomes largest Chinese crawler crane exported to Poland

A 900-tonne Zoomlion ZCC13000-1E5 crawler crane has left Changsha for Poland, the largest-tonnage crawler crane yet exported from China to the country, heading for refinery upgrade work in Gdańsk followed by port and onshore wind power lifting duties.

Zoomlion has despatched a ZCC13000-1E5 crawler crane from its Changsha base to Poland, a shipment the manufacturer says is the largest-tonnage crawler crane China has exported to the country. The 900-tonne class machine is bound for the Gdańsk refinery project, where it will work on refinery facility upgrades before moving on to other large energy jobs including port heavy lifts and onshore wind construction.

Built for the European market

The ZCC13000-1E5 is Zoomlion’s flagship lattice-boom crawler for overseas markets, offering a maximum load moment of 13,000 tonne-metres and a maximum lifting capacity of 900 tonnes. The company claims overall performance 4 to 12 percent ahead of comparable machines in its class.

Transport was a central design consideration. The crane breaks down into modules with a shipping width held within 3.5 metres, keeping it inside EU road transport rules and simplifying cross-border logistics. On site, a one-key superlift mast erection and lowering function cuts superlift rigging preparation time by 60 percent, while an intelligent wireless remote control system covers the machine from loading and unloading through to operation.

Faster hoisting

A high-power engine combined with dual-pump confluence hydraulics raises heavy-load hoisting speed by 10 percent, and a hoist winch follow-up control lifts medium and light-load hoisting speed by 40 percent, according to Zoomlion. A multi-tier safety protection system monitors high-altitude and heavy-load operations around the clock.

Petrochemical and wind duty

Zoomlion says it ran multiple rounds of lift-plan simulations against typical petrochemical and wind power working conditions with the Polish customer before the order was placed. The ZCC13000-1E5 is not new to export duty: the model has already been shipped in batches to South Korea, where the manufacturer says its reliability has been proven in the field. The Polish delivery extends Zoomlion’s push into Europe’s large-scale energy lifting sector, backed by what the company describes as a localised spare parts, technical and service network.
