Hiab rebuilds ProCare service agreements around connected equipment data
Hiab has announced a next-generation ProCare lifecycle services portfolio that pairs maintenance agreements with remote diagnostics and AI-driven monitoring for its loader cranes and other load handling equipment, with a phased global rollout from the fourth quarter of 2026.
The renewed portfolio, announced from Helsinki on 29 September, combines Hiab’s maintenance network with connectivity, data analysis and digital services in a single lifecycle offering. Fleet owners choose from three agreement levels – Standard, Plus and Premium – matched to how hard their equipment works and how much cost predictability they want.
Built on 50,000 connected machines
The manufacturer of HIAB, EFFER and ARGOS loader cranes, LOGLIFT forestry cranes and JONSERED recycling cranes says more than 50,000 connected assets and over a million completed service visits give it the equipment and service intelligence behind the new programme. That data feeds three headline elements: an insights platform with full service reporting and API access to customers’ own systems; intelligent remote diagnostics over a secure two-way link between operator and Hiab; and real-time remote monitoring in which Hiab specialists watch connected machines for safety, reliability and productivity risks, issuing alerts based on both fixed rules and AI-driven predictive analysis.
“Lifetime care of Hiab equipment should be as simple and easy as possible, while delivering clear business value for our customers.”
— Maria Lindroos, VP Lifecycle Services, Hiab
From reactive repairs to planned uptime
The stated aim is to move crane fleets from reactive maintenance towards predictable fleet management: less unplanned downtime, better utilisation and firmer control of total cost of ownership. Hiab positions the renewed ProCare as a step beyond traditional maintenance contracts, protecting the resale value of the equipment as well as its availability.
The phased global rollout of the renewed ProCare service agreements starts in the fourth quarter of 2026.
