Jekko goes direct in the Netherlands with new wholly owned subsidiary Jekko Nederland
Italian mini crane manufacturer Jekko has set up Jekko Nederland, a wholly owned commercial subsidiary serving the Dutch market directly. Industry veteran Kees Hoogendoorn will lead the new operation, which follows the model of the company’s German branch, Jekko Deutschland.
One of the densest mini crane markets in the world
The Netherlands is among the most developed mini crane markets anywhere, with an exceptionally high concentration of machines relative to its population. Jekko describes it as a mature and highly competitive arena, where customers set exacting standards on technology, performance and efficiency, and where several major international lifting and rental companies are headquartered. That combination of market maturity and growth potential, the manufacturer says, made a directly owned operation the logical next step.
“The Netherlands is not simply another market for Jekko. It is one of the markets where the value of our technology and the performance of our machines can be best appreciated. We believe that such a strategic country deserves our direct commitment. The excellent results achieved by our directly owned branch Jekko Deutschland have confirmed that being closer to customers, with a dedicated local organization, is the right approach.”
— Diego Tomasella, CEO, Jekko
Hoogendoorn takes the helm
The subsidiary will be run by Kees Hoogendoorn, a Dutch national with long experience in the mini crane business and an established network in the lifting and rental sectors. He is expected to act as the bridge between the Italian factory and Dutch customers.
“Even though Jekko is built in Italy, it is perhaps the most ‘Dutch’ mini crane on the market—not just because of its signature orange color, but above all because of the engineering solutions that Dutch customers appreciate so much. I am confident that my role as a bridge between Italian manufacturer Jekko and the Dutch market will bring great success and satisfaction to everyone involved.”

Direct support and long-term relationships
Sales director Alberto Franceschini said the goal is to strengthen Jekko’s position by combining the performance of its products with direct customer support, local expertise and long-term relationships, adding that the company knows the potential of the market and is ready to invest in it.
Jekko Nederland is the second directly owned sales branch in the group after Jekko Deutschland, which opened five years ago. The move fits a wider pattern of the Treviso-based manufacturer taking key European markets in hand itself while continuing to work through dealers elsewhere.
