Zoomlion has detailed a run of overseas crane support jobs: tower crane training at Saudi Arabia’s Diriyah project, a seven-day tower crane erection in Kazakhstan, acceptance of a ZAT6000V863 all-terrain crane in Brazil and big-crane training in Malaysia.

In Saudi Arabia, Zoomlion engineers delivered hands-on training at the Diriyah development near Riyadh, where customer maintenance crews were taken through frequency-converter commissioning on the company’s tower cranes. The sessions combined practical work on the machines with technical instruction on commissioning procedures, fault diagnosis and the drives’ motor self-learning function, with the aim of letting the customer handle routine commissioning and troubleshooting without outside help.

Tower crane up in seven days despite sandstorms

At the Shockpar-Gargarinskoye project in Kazakhstan, a Zoomlion WA6017-10F tower crane was erected and climbed in seven days — the customer’s first installation of a Zoomlion tower crane, carried out by a site team with no prior experience of the brand. Zoomlion’s service crew stayed on site throughout, guiding unpacking, component assembly and erection while heavy rain and sandstorms interrupted the work. The project’s site manager said the support made the installation noticeably smoother, and that he expects to work with the manufacturer again.

45-day acceptance for Brazilian big-tonnage machine

In Rio de Janeiro, a ZAT6000V863 all-terrain crane completed its acceptance programme after 45 days of inspections, commissioning and specialised testing of key systems across its full range of working configurations. The customer, a major Brazilian lifting company running dozens of Zoomlion machines, took delivery last December of a ZAT7000V863 — at the time the largest-capacity all-terrain crane in the country’s southeast — which has since worked on bridge and port construction projects.

Large-tonnage crane school in Malaysia

Zoomlion’s overseas crane service team also travelled to Malaysia to run specialised large-tonnage crane training for key customers working in heavy lifting, equipment installation and petrochemical projects. The programme covered crane structural principles, safe operation, maintenance, fault diagnosis and the machines’ intelligent systems, using case studies and operating demonstrations. The manufacturer says the push reflects its “MORE THAN YOU CARE” service philosophy as it builds out its global support network alongside a growing international crane fleet.
