EWPA to sell Terex self-erecting cranes in western Poland

Terex self-erecting crane at the handover marking EWPA's appointment for western Poland

EWPA adds Terex self-erectors and orders a CBR 40H and CSE 32 for its own fleet

Terex Self-Erecting Cranes has appointed EWPA to cover western Poland, and the long-standing Terex dealer has already ordered a CBR 40H and a CSE 32 after visiting the manufacturer’s Italian plant.

An existing Terex house adds a new line

EWPA, established in 1989, already distributes several Terex brands in Poland, including Terex Ecotec, Terex Recycling Systems, EvoQuip and Terex Rough Terrain Cranes. The self-erecting crane appointment, announced on 11 June 2024, adds a tower crane product to a portfolio that until now covered rough terrain lifting and processing equipment.

The company works from a 15,000 sq m headquarters at Komorniki near Poznań, with branches in Wrocław, Gdańsk and Szczecin — a network that covers the western half of the country for sales, service and parts.

“As a distributor for many Terex brands in Poland, we have built up valuable knowledge and expertise that will lend itself well as we extend our product offering to include Terex Self-Erecting Cranes. Designed for excellent productivity and long service life at economical operating costs, we feel they will offer our Polish customers an excellent return on investment.”

Two cranes ordered straight away

Following a visit to the Terex self-erecting crane factory in Italy, EWPA placed orders for a CBR 40H and a CSE 32 for its own fleet. Terex describes both as suited to residential and commercial work, the bread-and-butter market for self-erectors.

The CSE 32 carries the current Terex electronics package, which the manufacturer says delivers straightforward set-up, low energy consumption and precise crane control. On a self-erecting crane the set-up sequence is the commercial argument: the faster the machine unfolds and is commissioned, the shorter the window in which it earns nothing and ties up an assist crane and crew.

Filling in the Polish map

The EWPA appointment was the first of two Terex self-erecting crane distributor deals in Poland during 2024, with Lift24 taking on central Poland in August.

“We want to extend a warm welcome to the EWPA team, who are known for providing excellent service and after-sales support to their customers. EWPA’s history as a distributor for other Terex brands, along with their experience in the construction industry means that we can count on a focus on customer support, one of our core principles.”
