Böcker opens Eschbronn branch for south-west Germany

Third branch of the Böcker service offensive goes live at Eschbronn on the A81

Böcker has opened a new service branch at Eschbronn in Baden-Württemberg, its third under a nationwide expansion programme, giving crane and hoist owners in south-west Germany inspections, repairs, training and rental from a local base.

A site chosen for reach, not for rent

The branch sits on the A81 between Stuttgart and Lake Constance, a corridor that previously had no Böcker workshop of its own. It was opened on 17 April 2026 after a construction period of just under a year. Managing director Alexander Böcker, service manager Mario Eckey and branch manager Tobias Tochmann handed the site over together with representatives of the municipality of Eschbronn and the main contractor, Freyler Industriebau.

Eschbronn follows Burghaslach and Schkeuditz as the third new location under the company’s service offensive. The reasoning behind the programme is familiar to anyone running aluminium cranes: an inspection overdue or a hydraulic fault on a trailer crane costs a roofing contractor days, and the distance to the nearest competent workshop is often what decides how many of those days are lost.

What the workshop covers

Eschbronn will handle inspections, servicing and repairs on Böcker cranes and hoists, together with the full range of statutory examinations. Training is part of the remit as well, with crane operator courses and the annual refresher briefings that German site rules require. Rental of machines from across the Böcker range is also run from the branch.

The building was laid out for that mix of work: three fully equipped service and work lines, a separate logistics area, and office and training rooms. Power and heat come from photovoltaics and heat pump technology.

Opened during a 360° Höhentage event

The inauguration was combined with one of Böcker’s 360° Höhentage open days, so customers and partners could see the machines as well as the workshop. The battery trailer crane AHK 36e X drew the most attention, with its twin-stage fully hydraulic boom, payloads to 1.5 t and a working height of 32 m in platform mode. The AK 37, AK 42 and AK 48 truck cranes were also on site, demonstrating the combination of long reach and narrow set-up footprint that defines this class. Two smaller machines completed the display: the Junior 24 construction hoist and the Junior 18 furniture hoist, both aimed at material transport in confined spaces.
