Böcker opens ninth German branch at Schkeuditz

Schkeuditz near Leipzig gives Böcker a service base in Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia

Böcker opened its new branch at Schkeuditz near Leipzig on 24 October 2025, taking the manufacturer to nine German locations and bringing inspections, repairs, training and rental within reach of customers in eastern Germany.

Filling a gap in the east

Including the Werne headquarters in Westphalia, Böcker now operates from nine sites in Germany. Schkeuditz covers Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia, a region where owners of aluminium truck and trailer cranes previously faced long journeys for statutory examinations or repairs. Branch manager Ralf Fuchs and his team run the site.

What the branch does

The workshop handles inspections, servicing and repairs, together with the full set of statutory examinations that crane and hoist owners in Germany have to arrange. Training is part of the offering, covering crane operator courses and the annual refresher briefings. Rental of crane equipment, construction hoists and furniture hoists is also available from Schkeuditz.

For a contractor, the practical argument for a local branch is downtime. A trailer crane waiting on a hydraulic repair or an overdue inspection is a machine not earning, and the distance to the nearest competent workshop is often what determines how long that lasts. Böcker has been building out its network on that basis under a programme it calls the service offensive.

Opened alongside a 360° Höhentage event

The opening was combined with one of the company’s 360° Höhentage open days, so customers and partners could see current crane and hoist developments at the same time as the new premises. Product demonstrations and technical discussions filled the day.

Böcker builds aluminium truck-mounted cranes, trailer cranes, construction and furniture hoists and rack-and-pinion hoists at Werne, and the branch network exists to keep that installed base in service rather than to sell new machines. Inspections, annual briefings and spare parts are the everyday traffic; the rental desk covers the peaks.

Schkeuditz followed Burghaslach as the second branch opened under the programme, and a third was already under construction at the time: the Baden branch at Eschbronn, which was scheduled to open in spring 2026.
