The Crane Industry Council of Australia’s annual conference, held at Rydges Resort in the Hunter Valley of New South Wales, is the Southern Hemisphere’s main gathering for crane manufacturers, rental houses, contractors and industry specialists. Zoomlion used the 2026 edition to put a single machine at the centre of its stand: the ZAT600V, a 60-tonne all-terrain crane configured for the Australian market.

A 60-tonner built for Australian conditions

According to the manufacturer, the ZAT600V drew steady interest from Australian rental companies and lifting contractors over the course of the conference. Zoomlion’s overseas team walked visitors through the model’s working configurations, transport arrangements, maintenance regime and spare-parts supply policy, and held discussions built around the requirements of local projects. Several customers indicated they want to take talks about the machine further.

ADR certification across the range

Behind the single exhibit sits a wider localisation plan for Zoomlion’s mobile crane business in Australia. The company says it is accelerating ADR certification — the Australian Design Rules compliance needed to put cranes on local roads — and market launches across its full product range, while adapting performance and specifications to local requirements to close gaps in its line-up.

The strategy runs on two tracks. Proven small and medium-tonnage models are meant to anchor the business, while the company pushes into higher-end segments with large-tonnage machines, wind-power-specific cranes and new-energy products.

Five branches across the country

Zoomlion has built up operating outlets in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane, giving it national coverage for sales, delivery and after-sales support of its crane products in Australia and New Zealand. The CICA appearance, the company says, is part of consolidating that position as it targets the upper end of the Australian lifting market.
