Bigge orders 19 more Kobelco crawler cranes at Bauma

The Californian rental house pushes its Kobelco count towards 100 machines

US crane rental company Bigge marked its long-standing relationship with Kobelco at Bauma by committing to 19 more crawler cranes, a deal that takes its Kobelco fleet close to 100 units.

Nineteen in 2019

Bigge and Kobelco used Bauma to celebrate an order for 19 additional crawler cranes. The purchase expands what the rental company calls its Perfect Fleet and pushes its Kobelco holdings to nearly 100 pieces of equipment.

A third generation at the helm

Fendrick noted that Bigge president Weston Settlemier is leading the company into its second century, and that he and his brother Reid represent the third generation of a crane family whose business has been built on relationships with customers, suppliers and staff.

Why the CK series

For Bigge, the argument for buying more of the same rests on how the machines have performed in the rental fleet.
