Electric, hybrid or combustion: Böcker builds its Dach+Holz stand around the choice of drive
Böcker will show cranes and hoists with battery, hybrid and combustion drives at Dach+Holz International in Cologne from 24 to 27 February 2026, and has trailed a product premiere for the show.
One range, three drive options
The stand is organised around the drive rather than the machine class. For contractors working under noise or emission constraints, Böcker points to its battery machines, which combine doubled battery capacity with an electric winch to give a full day’s work without a mains connection. The AK 48e battery truck crane sits on a conventional diesel truck chassis and charges at 230 V or 400 V. The fully electric AHK 36e and AHK 30e KS trailer cranes are offered on the strength of their rope speeds as much as their running costs.
Contractors who prefer conventional drives can specify petrol or diesel engines, which Böcker rates for reduced fuel consumption at full performance. An electric auxiliary drive converts a combustion machine into a hybrid on a plug-and-play basis, which is the middle path for fleets that cannot yet standardise on battery power.
Cranes on the outdoor area
Two combustion-engined truck cranes will be rigged outdoors: the compact AK 36 and the AK 52, the largest crane in the range, both chosen to show long reach from a small set-up footprint. Visitors will be able to take a basket ride to 52 m above the exhibition grounds on the AK 52.
Junior 24 K construction hoist as a show model
Away from the cranes, Böcker is offering the Junior 24 K construction hoist as a special edition, badged “Der Kölner”, with a combined petrol-electric drive and a knuckle section, at show terms. It gives a conveying height of up to 24 m, a speed of up to 48 m/min and a payload of up to 250 kg. The hoist is erected in a few minutes and is levelled on four crank-down supports; its small footprint suits confined sites, and its low weight allows it to be towed by ordinary cars.
The special edition is aimed at the sort of buyer who attends Dach+Holz with a specific gap in the fleet rather than a shopping list, and hoists at this size are typically bought on the day.
Dach+Holz is the principal German trade fair for roofers, carpenters and sheet metal workers, and it is where Böcker traditionally launches machines aimed at that customer base. The company will hold a stand party from 18:00 on Wednesday 25 February.
