Brüser Kranverleih adds a Tadano AC 5.120-1 for Harz work

A 60-metre boom on five axles: Brüser Kranverleih collects its new AC 5.120-1 in Lauf

Brüser Kranverleih has expanded its fleet with a Tadano AC 5.120-1 all terrain crane, handed over at the Lauf an der Pegnitz factory for general hire work in Germany’s Harz region.

Boom length within a compact package

The AC 5.120-1 offers a main boom of up to 60 metres on a chassis that stays manoeuvrable enough for constrained streets and yards — the combination Brüser says it needs for the mixed hire work it handles around the Harz. Thorsten Dietzel of Tadano handed the crane over at the Lauf plant.

The 5.120-1 sits in a class that does a large share of the everyday work in German crane hire: big enough to cover most industrial and construction lifts, small enough to reach sites where a heavier machine would need road closures or ground works. Brüser’s stated priority — power, efficiency and reliability in one package — is the standard specification brief for that segment.

Familiar ground for the operator

Brüser is not new to the brand, and the company frames the purchase as a continuation rather than a trial. Its crews rate the machines on reliability and running cost, and — a point that tends to matter more than spec sheets in day-to-day hire work — on how quickly an operator can get productive with the control system.

Fuel and maintenance economics also featured in the decision, with the company citing the crane’s engine concept as a factor alongside its lifting performance.

From Tadano’s side, Dietzel called the order a further sign of a long-running relationship: “We have enjoyed a collaborative relationship with Brüser for many years. We are very grateful for their trust and are pleased that another Tadano crane from Lauf will soon be in operation in the Harz region.”
