Cantiniau takes Tadano AC 4.080-1 handover at JDL Expo in Beaune

The handover took place at the Palais des Congrès in Beaune, where Frédéric Valentin, sales manager at Tadano France, passed the keys of the four-axle crane to the Cantiniau team. The company, which works across lifting, material handling and transport, sees the 80-tonne machine as a versatile addition it can move quickly between jobs.

A personal return to the 80-tonne class

For managing director Julie Cantiniau, the delivery marks the return of a crane class the family firm knows well from demanding rail and industrial projects with earlier generations of 80-tonners.

“The 80-tonne crane is kind of my gem. I really wanted to bring this class of crane back into our fleet. I’ve known these machines my whole life: we’ve worked with previous generations of 80-tonne cranes on particularly demanding projects, especially in the rail sector and for major industrial clients. I’d even kept the charts from my old sales catalogs! It’s truly satisfying to have this lifting capacity again today, along with all the technological advancements of the new AC 4.080-1.”

On four axles, the AC 4.080-1 can carry up to 9.3 tonnes of counterweight plus its swing-away jib while staying under a 12-tonne axle load, which in many cases removes the need for a separate counterweight transport. The 60-metre main boom, strong load charts at steep boom angles and the IC-1 Plus control system position it as a cost-effective taxi crane for construction work.

e-Pack on lease for quiet, emission-free lifts

Cantiniau will also receive Tadano’s e-Pack under a leasing model offered by Tadano France. Connected to an external power supply, the electro-hydraulic unit lets the crane run its superstructure quietly and without local emissions – a fit for indoor lifts, urban sites and night work. Tadano offers the rental e-Pack to buyers of its cranes in the 40- to 80-tonne class.
