Strategic Step Up: Salgert Adds Liebherr’s 450-Tonne LTM 1400-6.1 to Its Fleet

The Salgert Group has been running a new Liebherr LTM 1400-6.1 since April 2026 — a deliberate move up in crane class that has already proven itself on its first demanding jobs.

Convincing from day one

Crane operators and dispatchers alike report that the 450-tonner has met every expectation on its first assignments, impressing with operational flexibility and refined technology. The crane features a 70-metre telescopic boom and set-up procedures designed to be quick and straightforward on site.

“The new crane strategically expands our fleet upwards. It enables us to handle projects even more flexibly and efficiently and strengthens our position in the field of large crane technology.”

Y-guying: big-crane technology in a compact package

Salgert ordered the machine with an extensive equipment package, including the Y-guying system for the telescopic boom, which significantly boosts lifting capacity — the LTM 1400-6.1 is the smallest Liebherr crane for which the technology is available. The modular boom system and broad accessory range let the crane cover a wide spectrum of work cost-effectively.

Ready for bigger projects

With the new flagship, the group positions itself for increasingly large and complex projects in industry, infrastructure, energy supply and heavy-lift installation. The company has relied on Liebherr machines for decades — and, in its own words, has always had excellent experiences with them.
