New South Wales heavy-lift specialist replaces a 25,000-hour LTM 1300-6.1
The Everwilling Group has become the first Australian operator of the Liebherr LTM 1400-6.1, the world’s most powerful six-axle mobile crane. It replaces an LTM 1300-6.1 that has logged more than 25,000 operating hours since 2009.
Same footprint, more capacity
The family-owned Everwilling Group, based in New South Wales, has taken delivery of the first LTM 1400-6.1 in Australia. The purchase was driven by a straightforward requirement: more lifting capacity without giving up the road and site mobility of a six-axle machine.
“A few years ago, we identified the need to replace our LTM 1300-6.1 with a crane that is equally compact on site and on the road, while offering significantly higher lifting capacity,” says Steve Allen, general manager of the Everwilling Group. “The increasing demand for heavy-lift solutions in major infrastructure and industrial projects in New South Wales further reinforced our decision in favour of the Liebherr LTM 1400-6.1.”
The crane it replaces
The outgoing LTM 1300-6.1 makes the case for the brand as clearly as any sales argument. Delivered in 2009, the 300-tonne crane has accumulated more than 25,000 operating hours in demanding conditions. It will now be traded back to Liebherr, professionally refurbished and returned to the market – a lifecycle Liebherr points to as evidence of the residual value its mobile cranes retain after long periods of intensive use.
Where the new crane will work
Everwilling intends to deploy the LTM 1400-6.1 on major infrastructure and industrial construction work: erecting steel and precast concrete components, building data centres, plant maintenance and general high-capacity lifting. It becomes the largest crane in the fleet.
“We see the LTM 1400-6.1 as the optimal combination of performance and efficiency,” Allen says. “We were particularly impressed by its high mobility, short setup times and advanced safety and control systems, which significantly increase efficiency on site.”

Everwilling was founded in 1982 by Gordon Henderson and remains an Australian family-owned group. It employs around 90 people and runs a fleet of 25 cranes, 14 of them Liebherr machines, working principally in the construction sector.
