Ehingen / Donau (Germany) May 2016 – Empting Kran- und Handelsgesellschaft mbH from Cuxhaven has expanded its fleet with a 130-tonne mobile crane. The Liebherr LTM 1130-5.1 was ordered with a full range of equipment making it suitable for universal use.
The new 5-axle crane fits perfectly between the company’s existing LTM 1055-3.2 and LTM 1200-5.1 cranes. The good order book situation, particularly in the construction industry and port work, led to the decision to purchase a third crane. To ensure that it is suitable for universal, flexible use, Empting ordered the double folding jib which significantly extends the working range of the 60 m telescopic boom in terms of hoist height and radius. The VarioBase® variable support base delivers additional safety and greater capacity.
Empting relies 100 percent on Liebherr mobile cranes. Owner Birgit Brending explains: “As a child I was at Liebherr in the seventies and I am still a Liebherr fan now.” She describes her own family-run company which has just 6 employees as “small but mighty – everybody helps out”. The crane and the transport contracting company was founded in 1977.
