From two axles to six: Kranverleih Haslach adds a 300-tonne LTM 1300-6.3 to an all-Liebherr fleet
The Allgäu family firm has bought the largest crane it has ever owned. The LTM 1300-6.3 brings a 90-metre telescopic boom to a fleet previously topping out at five axles, and joins eight other Liebherr machines.
A long-considered step up
Kranverleih Haslach GmbH has added an LTM 1300-6.3 to a fleet that until now ran from two to five axles, all of it Liebherr. The six-axle machine is the largest mobile crane the Allgäu-based family company has operated.

The deciding factors were the manoeuvrable chassis, the variable ballast radius and flexible support technology. Alongside VarioBallast and VarioBase, the crane is equipped with ECOmode and ECOdrive, Auto-Ballast and Windspeed Load Charts.
Heavier loads, longer radii
Haslach’s work is concentrated in prefabricated concrete construction, machine loading and tower crane assembly. In all three the trend runs the same way: heavier components at greater radius, on sites that keep getting tighter.

The 90-metre telescopic boom is the headline figure in the class. Just as relevant for a hire fleet is that no guying is needed, so rigging and derigging are quick, and that the crane carries its complete telescopic boom on public roads at a twelve-tonne axle load. As Haslach puts it, few accessories means the machine moves from site to site fast – the characteristic the company says it values most about it.
Second-generation family business
The firm was founded in the 1980s by Hermann Haslach with his sons Ludwig and Eugen. In 2020 it passed to the second generation when Eugen Haslach’s sons Tobias and Roland took over. Twelve staff, some with the company for more than four decades, run a fleet that now comprises an AK 50B, LTM 1040-2.1, LTM 1060-3.1, LTM 1070-4.1, LTM 1150-5.1, LTM 1230-5.1, two LTM 1130-5.1s and the new LTM 1300-6.3 – capacities from 40 to 300 tonnes.
