Two new mobile cranes were recently delivered to Taiwanese crane contractor Hong Tai International based in Kaohsiung (Taiwan). The Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1 now is the large telescopic crane in their fleet. The Liebherr LTM 1100-5.2 will extend its mid-range crane fleet.
The company’s Chairman Chao-Cheng Lu and General Manager Chao-Shuen Lu travelled to the Liebherr manufacturing plant in Ehingen with their wives to take delivery of the new cranes. The main criteria for choosing the LTM 1750-9.1 were the load capacities and flexibility of the new 750-ton model. Hong Tai will particular use the new cranes for jobs in refineries and steel mills and also for the erection of tower cranes.
Hong Tai has a workforce of around 100 employees and currently has 33 mobile cranes in its fleet. It has a total of 15 cranes with a load capacity of 90 tons or more, all of which bear the Liebherr brand name. Hong Tai also has lots of experience with mobile cranes in the very high load capacity class as its fleet has included an 800-ton LTM 1800 for many years.
