Kölch completes switch to all-Liebherr fleet with new LTM 1060-3.1

Compact three-axle for tight sites

For the German lifting and haulage specialist, a crane in the 60-tonne class has become a fixture of day-to-day work, and the combination of lifting capacity and compact carrier was decisive in the purchase. The LTM 1060-3.1 carries a 48-metre telescopic boom on a three-axle chassis, which suits the confined construction sites and inner-city locations where the company frequently operates.

The new arrival will mainly work in precast concrete construction, general building, industrial projects and machinery installation in production halls.

One control concept across the fleet

Standardised operation weighed heavily in the decision as well. With Liebherr’s LICCON control system on every machine, operators can move between crane types without relearning the controls, and the company gains uniform technology and simpler maintenance across the fleet. The handover marks the end of a two-year transition: the LTM 1060-3.1 joins an LTM 1090-4.2, an LTM 1230-5.1 and an MK 88-4.1 mobile construction crane, making the mobile crane fleet entirely Liebherr.

Half a century in 2027

Founded in 1977, the family-run firm will mark its 50th anniversary next year. Its fleet currently numbers around 40 vehicles, four of them mobile cranes, serving customers from its base in Fürth, Bavaria.
