The concept of the Liebherr PowerBoom for large crawler cranes has received the Design Award from the ICEF (International Construction Equipment Forum). The jury explained its decision with the statement that the PowerBoom significantly increases load capacity whilst at the same time being extremely economical & flexible to use for customers.
The PowerBoom is an innovation from Liebherr which enables the load capacity of large crawler cranes to be increased by more than 50%. For this purpose the lattice sections in the lower section of the lattice boom are aligned parallel to each other which significantly increases the boom’s strength. The only additional components required are two lattice adapters since the standard lattice sections can be used for the parallel boom. This makes the PowerBoom excellent value for money.
The award was handed over during the ICEF – an international conference for the entire construction industry which was held from 20 to 22 November. Lots of specialists from all over the world traveled to Amsterdam (NL) for the event to attend lectures and discussions. The event was organized by the publishing company KHL.
