The first Liebherr LTR 1220 telescopic crawler crane has been delivered to Albert Regel GmbH. The new 220-tonner was used in June on the construction of a prefabricated concrete building.

The Liebherr LTR 1220 telescopic crawler crane was first unveiled to the public at the customer days in 2012 at Liebherr Plant in Ehingen. With a load capacity of 220 tons and a 60 meter telescopic boom, it represents a new class of telescopic crawler cranes.
The first LTR 1220 was delivered to Albert Regel GmbH. The 220-tonne capacity crawler crane showed what it could do during the construction of a building in Villingen-Schwenningen and proved an immediate hit with its functionality and flexibility for handling prefabricated concrete components. The crane driver from Albert Regel GmbH was delighted with his new crane – particularly with the extraordinary precision of the LTR 1220 even with long boom. On the site the LTR 1220 hoisted loads of up to 21 tonnes and positioned components with a radius of up to 55 meter.
Liebherr telescopic crawler cranes are ideal for this type of site since the crawler chassis provides excellent off-road capability and superb maneuverability. At the same time Liebherr telescopic crawler cranes feature short setup times, well designed transport concepts and high variability of their boom systems. In addition, the full load can be moved with the crane.
