Terex Tower Cranes renews with MEVI across five northern Italian regions
Terex Tower Cranes has signed MEVI as its distributor for Lombardy, Piedmont, Liguria, Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna, restoring a partnership that covers the densest concentration of tower crane work in Italy.
Five regions, sales and after-sales
The agreement, announced on 31 October 2024 and effective immediately, gives MEVI responsibility for sales and after-sales support of the complete Terex tower crane range across five northern and central Italian regions: Lombardy, Piedmont, Liguria, Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna. Between them these regions account for a large share of Italian construction activity, and the territory sits within easy reach of the Terex tower crane plant at Fontanafredda in Friuli.
MEVI is not a newcomer to the brand. The company has been trading in new and used cranes and providing service in Italy for more than 50 years, working through a team of specialist consultants and technicians, and it has represented Terex in the market for a number of years. The deal is therefore a renewal rather than a first appointment.
Signed at Fontanafredda
The agreement was marked at a meeting held at the Terex facility in Fontanafredda, Italy.
“We are pleased to renew our collaboration with MEVI, a key representative of the Terex brand in the Italian market for many years. MEVI will serve as our primary distributor across Lombardy, Piedmont, Liguria, Emilia-Romagna, and Tuscany, where we aim to expand our presence. Together with MEVI, we are committed to delivering robust technical and commercial support to a growing customer base in these regions.”
— Paolo di Giambattista, Sales Area Manager, Terex
The distributor’s view
“We are thrilled to announce that MEVI is once again representing Terex Tower Cranes across these five key regions in Italy. Building on years of successful collaboration, we are excited to renew this relationship as a trusted Terex representative. Together, we are confident in our ability to elevate customer satisfaction and eagerly anticipate the new opportunities that this prestigious range of cranes will bring to our portfolio.”
— Giuseppe Giannopolo, Marketing and Sales Manager, MEVI
The appointment forms part of a wider tightening of the Terex tower crane distribution network under general manager Francesco Aiello, who took charge of the business days before the MEVI announcement and identified distribution — particularly for self-erecting cranes — as one of his priorities. Terex did not disclose the term of the agreement or any stocking commitment.
