A Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1 mobile crane was delivered to Knaack-Krane based in Hamburg (DE) in October.
“Our brand new 750-tonne mobile crane from Liebherr will enable us to enter into a completely new performance range”
– Knaack-Krane
In addition to its performance, the 9-axle Liebherr crane also impressed Knaack-Krane with its economy. The LTM 1750-9.1 can travel on public roads with its complete telescopic boom at an axle load of 12 t. It self-erects very quickly once it reaches the site. Knaack-Krane plans to use its new crane for jobs in industry, construction and wind power. Its performance makes it ideal for the steadily rising requirements in this sectors which require ever larger prefabricated components to be moved and assembled.
Immediately after delivery from the production plant the Liebherr crane headed straight to its first job where it proved its worth in the assembly of wind turbines at Stößen-Teuchern wind farm near Leipzig.
In addition to celebrating the arrival of its new crane in November, Knaack-Krane was also celebrating its 50th anniversary. Since it first opened for business in 1963 the company, which now operates throughout Europe has stayed true to its slogan “…nobody is faster!”. With its current workforce of 100, Knaack-Krane delivers bespoke solutions for all types of heavy transport and crane work. “Our aim is to provide our customers with high quality crane and heavy transport vehi-cles. But safety is at the forefront of everything we do”, is how Knaack-Krane describes its corporate philosophy.
