Two more eLift machines push Sarens’ electric mobile tower crane fleet into double figures
Sarens has ordered a further two Spierings eLift mobile tower cranes, an SK1265-AT5 eLift and an SK1265-AT6 eLift, taking its electric fleet to ten units after close to five years of running the type in daily hire work.
Five years of running data behind the order
The Belgian heavy lift and engineered transport contractor has been operating electric Spierings cranes since around 2021 and reports fuel reductions of up to 92 per cent against conventional mobile tower cranes. With fuel at current prices, that translates into operating cost savings alongside the emissions reduction the fleet was bought for.
The latest pair extends a fleet that stood at eight units after a 2024 order, and the new machines cover both ends of the SK1265 range.
What the SK1265-AT5 eLift brings
The SK1265-AT5 eLift is the latest generation of the Spierings mobile tower crane. It offers a maximum lifting capacity of 10 tonnes, a 60-metre jib and a 1.7-tonne tip load, on a compact five-axle carrier configured to meet a range of European road regulations, France included.
Power comes from the integrated eLift system, which allows fully emission-free operation from a 16 A or 32 A mains supply, supported by a PowerPack that absorbs peak demand. Where no grid connection is available, the crane can work entirely on battery for up to three hours before recharging via the onboard generator.

Sarens frames the order as an operational decision rather than a statement of intent, pointing to the results already recorded on site.
