Sales and service partner Willing handed over a new SENNEBOGEN 630 HD duty cycle crane to Eberswalde Water and Shipping Authority. Positioned on a multi-purpose ferry, the machine will be used for all hoisting and hydraulic engineering activities along the river section under the authority’s responsibility.
As a federal agency, the Eberswalde Water and Shipping Authority (WSA) is responsible for the upkeep of the approximately 660 km of federal waterways on the Oder and the surrounding waterways. The more than 80 locks, ship hoists and embankments and more than 270 bridges require regular maintenance and inspection. For this purpose, the WSA maintains extensive machinery, which, since August 2016 has been supplemented with a new SENNEBOGEN 630 HD duty cycle crane.
The 630 HD duty cycle crane, delivered and supported by our sales and service partner Gebr. Willing GmbH, is driven by a powerful 186-kW diesel engine. Two crane winches, each with a pulling capacity of 120 kN, as well as the reinforced, double-row slewing ring, are perfect for the demanding implementation in hydraulic engineering. Especially remarkable is the cab, which can be elevated by 2.7 m, offering the operator an ideal overview of the working area. For operations in hydraulic engineering, the duty cycle crane is equipped with an 18-kN grapple stability winch to safely position the grapple during dredging work. The machine’s hydraulic system is filled with biodegradable oil in order to meet the high environmental standards set in hydraulic engineering.
An additional inclination gage permanently indicates the inclination angles of ship and boom inside the cab. It warns of critical operating states when executing functions that increase the load – an important safety feature. Thanks to its telescoping crawler chassis, the 630 HD stands firmly and safely on its 700-mm 3-grouser base plates. The compact dimensions not only save time and costs during transportation, they also have significant advantages in hydraulic engineering when space is confined.
