GGR’s mini yet mighty Spider Crane recently teamed up with Coca Cola for a lift with a difference.
When one of the most renowned brands around the world needed a helping hand to lift a giant Coca Cola bottle, GGR’s mini spider crane was more than up to the job.
The UNIC URW 095 Spider Crane took centre stage at the Westfield Shopping Centre in Stratford, London to help build the infamous 7.5 metre Coke bottle.
Using our petrol powered Spider Crane; the 2.25 tonne bottle was lifted into place in six different pieces, each weighing up to a huge 400kg. With a height of 7.5m, the lift of the bottle was no problem for the UNIC 095 with a maximum lifting height of 8.8m.
The URW-095 is the ultimate machine for lifting in confined spaces and can truly access all areas thanks to its slender 600mm width and lightweight frame. Boasting nearly one tonne of lifting power the UNIC URW-095 is one of the most popular mini cranes in the industry.
GGR’s CEO Graeme Riley said “It is always a pleasure to get involved in these types of projects and to work with the Westfield centre on such a high profile brand like Coca Cola. Jobs like this
reinforce our position in the market as the industry leader for lifting solutions and how we are the chosen option for some of the biggest companies in the world”.
The Lift-Smart Advanced Safety System of the 095 mini crane includes turnover protection with stability warning lamps and alarm, all of which help prevent the risk of the crane tipping. Optional 300kg searcher hook and 700kg searcher hook and flyjib are available with the URW-095, which are ideal for lifting under soffits and overhangs.
