Tandem hoist with two Liebherr LTM 1400-7.1 cranes from Saller

The two cold boxes which had to be loaded at the Port of Passau were almost 30 metres in length and weighed in at over 150 tonnes. Two Liebherr LTM 1400-7.1 mobile cranes from partner companies Kran Saller GmbH based in Deggendorf and Kranverleih Saller GmbH in Winhöring completed a tandem hoist.

The two 400-tonners loaded two cold boxes for forwarding from a low loader on to a freighter. A cold box, also known as a refrigeration chamber, is a system module which is used at very low temperatures, for example in air separation systems or gas treatment systems. Each box was 28 meters long, 8 meters wide and 5 meters high.

Kran Saller based in Deggendorf has more than 40 years of experience in crane and heavy transport services. Saller relies on high quality, reliable cranes made by Liebherr. Recently Saller took possession of a new LTM 1250-6.1. Another new crane will be delivered in July, an LTM 1750-9.1 with a load capacity of 750 tonnes will extend Saller’s fleet a good deal upwards.
