Terex launches the CTT 152-6: a 150 mt city class flat top rigged from the ground up
Terex Tower Cranes has launched the CTT 152-6, a 150 mt class flat top with a 6 tonne maximum capacity, jibs from 25 to 60 m and an erection sequence designed so the whole jib can be assembled at ground level.
Load chart and configuration
The CTT 152-6 extends the Terex City Class flat top offering. Maximum capacity is 6 tonnes and tip load is 1.7 t, rising to 1.91 t with Terex Power Plus. Two hoist options are available, 18 kW and 22 kW, with rope speeds of up to 104 m/min. Jib lengths run from 25 m to 60 m, with a range of tower and chassis configurations and free-standing heights of up to 61.2 m. The crane is compliant with EN 14439 Rev 1.
T-Torque slewing technology, with settings the operator can adjust, handles slew control, while the Terex Power Match system reduces electrical draw. T-Link telematics is offered as an option for remote fleet management and real-time performance data.
Erection, maintenance and transport
Two design changes drive the erection sequence: a pinned connection between jib and slewing unit, and the removal of the counterjib ballast basket. Together they allow the complete jib assembly to be carried out at ground level. Both the hoist rope and the trolley rope can also be installed from the ground, and each jib section has its own pre-assembled independent safety line.
For maintenance, the crane has grated walkways, platforms and safety rails along the jib and counterjib, plus a wide electrical cabinet with a dedicated platform on the slewing unit. The complete upper part of the crane travels in three trucks or four 40 ft high cube containers.
Cab and mast access
Operators get the S-Pace cab, with a large glazed area, adjustable seating, stereo speakers and built-in heating and cooling. Mast access is by the T-Lift crane lift, which runs at up to 40 m/min and takes two people, giving maintenance and support teams a faster route up the tower as well as letting the operator leave the cab for breaks. It is fitted with an overspeed safety brake and an overload safety system.

The model was announced on 12 February 2024. Within weeks Dutch fleet STK had ordered five of them as part of a 10-crane package, the first CTT 152-6 units for the Netherlands.
