Reiden (Switzerland), 24 July 2017 – Swiss crane contractor VHB SA took delivery of a Liebherr MK 140 mobile construction crane in June.
The MK 140 was commissioned at Liebherr-Baumaschinen AG in Reiden as part of an introduction training programme for the new crane. Managing Director Philippe Porret travelled with crane driver Franc Delepierre to the Swiss sales and service company to take delivery of the crane.
The MK 140 had its first job in Ecublens near Lausanne where a bakery outlet owned by JOWA, a subsidiary of Migros, was being renovated. Porret is quite certain that the five-axle crane will prove a real asset in nearby Geneva, the second-largest city in Switzerland. With its maximum radius of 65 metres and its maximum hoist height of 94 metres, it is still very compact and therefore ideal for urban construction projects.
For the Swiss crane contractor with sites in Meyrin, Lausanne, Neuchâtel, Fribourg, Sion and Yverdon, the MK 140 is its third Liebherr mobile construction crane, joining an MK 88 and an MK 110. The company with a workforce of 200 also has a Liebherr LTM 1050-31 mobile crane in its fleet.
