The Berlin-based crane service provider BTB Logistik GmbH received the key to their new Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1 at the manufacturer’s plant in Ehingen. The new 750-tonner will replace a LTM 1500-8.1.
The new crane is largely planned for applications in wind power, in particular for installing wind towers and smaller plants. “However it goes without saying that the LTM 1750-9.1 will also be used in refineries and chemical plants as well as for transshipments in ports. We are also intending to use the new mobile crane for bridge construction on motorways in Brandenburg,” explains Andreas Malischewski.
Mathias Kutz and Dieter Schwarz, two crane operators from BTB, have already experienced several days of training on the new crane type at the Liebherr plant, and are thrilled by their new “workplace”.
